Who We Are
A Strong Heritage of Customer Satisfaction
Customers first. This saying is the basis of a business strategy that Micro-Poise Measurement Systems, LLC will continue to follow for many years to come. An American Industrial Partners company (www.aipartners.com) Micro-Poise Measurement Systems, LLC has an 85-year history serving tire companies and automakers worldwide. Over time we have created the world’s most complete line of tire uniformity machines, automotive balancers, and geometry measurement systems.
As a business, we emphasize product-line simplification, inlining, and cellular manufacturing.
Our stringent application of these principles ensures that we serve customers fast and efficiently.
Our processes also improve machine reliability and quality. Innovative design and build methods all but eliminate common machinery problems found on competitive equipment.
Our Akron StandardTM uniformity machines, ASTEC® and FD90, and our Micro-PoiseTM balancers are industry standard-bearers. Each is a high-quality, reliable combination of cutting-edge technology supported by standard, commercially available parts. They are the machines to which all other uniformity and balance systems are compared.

The Next Level of Surface Inspection
We are always looking for new ways to help our customers make better products. Our Tire Geometry Inspection System / Sheet-of-Light (TGISTM/SL), for example, takes surface inspection to the next level. These machines use Sheetof-Light lasers to find depressions and bulges that might be overlooked by traditional methods.
Our Windows®-based controllers, with graphical user interfaces, on-line diagnostics, and troubleshooting are easier to use than conventional commandline driven units. Additionally, our tire measurement equipment links to larger networks, providing ready access to data that can help you improve your processes.
Innovative Manufacturing
We’ve replaced the traditional "village build" method of manufacturing machinery in one station with in-line manufacturing, where machines are built in an assembly line comprised of a number of work cells. In-lining cuts build time for uniformity and balance machines from months to weeks as well as provide consistent build quality. Workers in a cell are responsible for all cell processes-from installing components to ordering parts.
A key to our success with in-line manufacturing is a "just in time," Kanban parts replenishment system, which ensures that work cells are properly stocked. In Kanban, stock is tracked through a system of observable cues that tell workers when to order replacement supplies. Replenishment orders are sent directly to established and approved parts manufacturers from the factory floor, bypassing the purchasing department. Our suppliers give us agreed upon replenishment fill rates that ensure parts are always in stock, thereby never slowing the build process.
